The VFW Auxiliary National organization provides grants to members who have been diagnosed with cancer. Although the Department of New York Auxiliary does not provide cancer grants, the Department's Cancer Grant Donation Fund provides support to sustain the financial status and processing of the National organization's cancer grants. In addition to fundraisers for the National Cancer Grants, there may be other events to educate and raise awareness of this terrible disease that affects so many members and loved ones.
