Darlene has been a member of Trach-Auringer VFW Auxiliary 7325 since 2000, joining under her father, Dominick Volpe.  She has 2 children – a daughter, Nicole, and a son, Dominick, who passed at the age of 16 due to an ATV accident.  She has two granddaughters, Taylor and Abigail.  And her son-in-law is an Army veteran.

 

    Darlene has held and learned many hats and roles, as well as assisted at Convention with the PDP presentation and registrations.  She has also held many chairmanships throughout her 20 plus years with the Auxiliary:

 

Department Offices:  Chaplain, Conductress, Guard, District 5 Chief of Staff, Flag Bearer #1, Convention Committee Member.

Department Chairmanships:  Legislative, Scholarship, Youth Activities

District 5 Offices:  President, Sr. Vice President, Chaplain, Guard
